Attendance criteria at LPU

You may have heard on various youtube videos and articles about the attendance criteria of LPU.

Any of your missing query would be cleared after reading this:
1.) YES! we have to maintain 75% aggregate attendance in all the subjects in a semester to qualify for giving the end-term examinations.
If somehow your attendance is less than 75%, you will get partially detained in the semester and that means you cannot give the end-term examinations of those subjects in which you have the attendance lesser than 75%. There's the elaboration:-

here's the lpu touch app interface which shows my aggregate attendance as well as subject wise attendance.

So, if my attendance is less than 75% in only one subject, I will get a back-log for only one subject and I can give the ETE's for rest of the subjects.

2.) If my attendance is below 75% , they will check the attendance of my previous semester and if the aggregate was higher than 90% then, I can avail 5% bonus attendance in the current semester.

3.) Also, during the first week of the commencement of a new semester if I will be present for full week, I will get 10% bonus attendance.

4.) Is there any other way of getting attendance?
yes! that is duty leave(DL) which you get in your ums account if during the class you were present at some workshop or any other event held in the college.
you will be marked present for that lecture later and there will be no harm to your attendance.

5.) The worst case scenario is that if you failed to secure more than 75% attendance even in atleast 3 subjects, you will get fully detained. Now, you have to register for the course again and submit the full fees again.

6.) So, please don't avoid your classes unnecessarily and maintain a good percentage of attendance because if you are securing more than 90% attendance you will get 5 marks bonus in the final result in all subjects.
(marks may vary with the subjects)
